2006 Awards

The Ballots have once again been cast by the Mid America Green Industry Council for The Kansas Missouri Area 2006 Landscapes Of Distinction Awards and we are very excited and proud to have received awards on the following projects.

The Oaks Project

"The Oaks" community is the single largest platted development in Sedgwick, County Kansas and includes an eighteen-hole, professional golf course and country club. We were charged with the task of landscaping the entire commons areas which amounts, at this point, to approximately 1.5 miles of roadway and eight separate entries and their respective monuments. The scope of work was to include irrigation, landscape beds, trees, sod and landscape lighting.

The Stephenson Project

The scope of our design and work included complete landscape and swimming pool installation, driveway, paver and retaining wall installation, irrigation and landscape lighting. The client is a local sports celebrity whose design objective was to create a landscape setting that not only felt like home but was also elegant enough for entertaining substantial numbers of influential guests. Incorporating adequate off-street parking via a circle drive and pool privacy without a fence was also of concern.

The Langhofer Project

Our Clients were enthusiastic about their back yard being an oasis from the hustle of everyday life. The front yard needed to be nice, but their top priority was to make their back yard a great place to relax and entertain with limited space.

The Razook Project (2006)

Our Clients had several objectives in mind for their project. First, the overall look of the landscape needed to be as mature as possible. Second, privacy in the back yard pool area was a must. All plantings and pergola were designed with this in mind. Third, our clients wanted their home to stand out in a neighborhood full of beautiful homes and landscapes.

The Schremmer Project

The project consisted of a complete landscape and irrigation system for a patio home. The client wished to incorporate a low-maintenance water feature in both the front and back yards with the overall theme being a mountain-like atmosphere on an otherwise flat and featureless site, all the while maintaining views to the adjacent country club golf course.
