The Razook Project (2006)

Our clients had several objectives in mind for their project. First, to hide some corrective concrete from earlier work chosen for his pool cover. Second, a dressier cook center/outdoor kitchen area near the pool deck stairs. Third, make all the additions appear as if they were part of the original design of the home, and finally and most critically for this project, finish all work well before swim season.

Special or Unusual Problems Encountered:

The design for the pool planters had to work on an existing pool deck and still drain properly so plantings could florish. The coping chosen for the planters and the cook center top had to be designed and fabricated while the masonry work was in progress due to time constraints placed on TenderCare by the client. This turned out to be the most challenging part of the project. The unceasing rain this spring tested the patience of all involved, most importantly the client.
