Tune up your mowers, water regularly and fight troublesome weeds. Have your BEST and GREENEST lawn this summer with help from our handy tips.

Apply Weed Control

Fight crabgrass, dandelions and ragweed with an effective weed killer. Be sure to check the type of herbicide you’re applying to your lawn. Certain herbicides will kill plants and are ideal for driveways and walkways, whereas others are specifically made to target weeds in your lawn or flower beds. Don’t want to bother with it yourself? Feed & Fertilize

Give your lawn the nutrients it needs to thrive this summer! Fertilize your lawn in early summer to add strength to survive throughout the heat and drought conditions.

Mow Regularly

Summer mowing is crucial for the long-term health of your lawn. If it is too lush, it will take too many nutrients, but if it’s too low, it will make it harder for your grass to retain moisture. The ideal length is about three to four inches for fescue blends. This length will develop deeper roots, which are better at seeking water underground. PLUS, don’t forget to leave the clippings in your yard! They will break down and help feed your lawn.

Water Often

Irrigate your lawn in the morning or early in the afternoon for the best results. The water will be able to absorb into the soil without evaporating, and it will prevent extra moisture from remaining in your lawn at night.
